Augmented Gravity Field Modelling by Combining EIGEN_6C4 and Topographic Potential Models

One of the key goals geodesy is to study fine structure Earth’s gravity field and construct a high-resolution model (GFM). Aiming at current insufficient resolution problem EIGEN_6C4 model, refined ultra-high degree models EIGEN_3660 EIGEN_5480 are determined with spectral expansion approach in this study, which augment using topographic potential (TPMs). A comparative evaluation for EIGEN_6C4, EIGEN_3660, indicates that powers outperform after 2000. The augmented verified deflection vertical (DOV) China Colorado, data from Australia mainland America, GNSS/leveling China. validation results indicate accuracy determining height anomaly, DOV, anomaly has optimal accuracy. south–north component east–west DOV been improved by about 21.1% 23.1% compared respectively.
